Groups of unmanned aerial vehicles usage perspectives and peculiarities

Introduction. The article describes the most significant domains for usage of groups of unmanned aerial vehicles and domains, where groups of unmanned aerial vehicles would be useful and where such technologies would have the fastest development. Perspectives of unmanned aviation and some examples of civil and military UAV cluster control technologies are described as well to demonstrate the current level of industry.

Results. Aspects of Controlling Swarms of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles applying to different application range are considered. The most feasible and advanced implementation of controlling swarms of unmanned aerial vehicles is identified. Already available complexes of swarms of unmanned aerial vehicles and their primal operational tasks were explored. In light of this their key advantages and disadvantages are defined. To compensate the most significant of them, advanced and available algorithms of swarms of unmanned aerial vehicles control were analyzed. Also perspectives and problems of unmanned vehicles, swarms and control technologies are described and classified by the different range of parameters.

Specially, the system of swarmgathering, described in the second part of an article is the main problem for all the purposes, without which usage of the UAV clusters is not justified. Such system and the principle of the work of it was defined separately.

Conclisuons. The point of the work is in describing of the main features and functions of the cluster of unmanned aerial vehicles, way of modernization of some systems to make it much more useful and definition of advantages and disadvantages of current systems of unmanned aerial vehicles. An article is concluded by the list of advantages and problems of groups of unmanned aerial vehicles and advices to resolve some problems to make unmanned aviation much more reliable.
